The Mill Branch sites, 9WR4 and 9WR11, are located on the Fall Line within the upper Brier Creek drainage in southeastern Warren County, Georgia. Site 9WR4 occupies a large terrace adjacent to the confluence of Brier and Little Brier Creeks.

This project consists of improving the intersection on the east end of the Bainbridge Bypass to allow for its connectivity with United States (US) 84 and the re-alignment of US 84 BU. This project may also need a traffic signal and advance warning beacon.

On January 31 and February 1 and on April 9, 10 and 11, 1991 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted an intensive cultural resources survey and site testing program along a 4.3 km (2.67 mi) length of proposed sewer line that closely follows Powder Springs Creek.

On February 12, 1998 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted an intensive archeological survey of a proposed expanded right-of-way along Jarrell Plantation Road within the boundaries of the Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge, in western Jones County.

A phase I archeological survey of the Newnan Bypass was conducted for Coweta County and Rosser Lowe on October 28 and 29, 1997 by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. Five archeological sites and three artifact occurrences were located within the three mile long and 250 ft wide corridor.
