Report Abstracts

This report presents the results of an intensive archeological survey performed by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) conducted a Phase I archeological survey of variously shaped and sized parcels of land at five bridges and two existing interchanges on Interstate Highway 75 in Crisp and Turner Counties in 2005 (Gresham 2005).

In August, 2006 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., conducted a Phase I archeological survey of a proposed 0.1 ha (0.2) ac step aeration facility and 91 m (300 ft) long discharge water line adjacent to the Mulberry River in southern Hall County.

Augusta State University wishes to construct a curving, enhanced pedestrian walkway on the north side of its campus, along Walton Way.

Augusta State University wishes to construct an enhanced pedestrian walkway along its western and eastern edges on the north side of its campus, along Arsenal Avenue and Katherine Street, respectively. These walkways would tie into proposed Phase I walkways along the northern edge of the campus.

Walton Rehabilitation Hospital wishes to construct a new facility on a ca. 1.6 ha (4 ac) tract of land on Windsor Spring Road in central Richmond County using federal (Department of Housing and Urban Development) funds.

Gospel Pilgrim Cemetery is a ca. 9 acre subscription cemetery (not affiliated with a particular church) that was founded in 1882 for use by African-Americans.

From October 20 through October 30, 2008 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) conducted a Phase I archeological survey of twelve boat ramps and associated parking areas situated on ten natural ponds in Decatur County, Georgia.

In May of 2009, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., conducted historic and archeological investigations of the Hitchiti Experimental Forest Administrative Site in Jones County, Georgia.
