This paper reports the results of a 14-week archeological and historical study of a tract of land known traditionally as "Mulberry Grove" or "Mulberry Grove Plantation".

This study presents the findings resulting from archaeological and archival investigations of properties within the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, Chatham County, Georgia and Jasper County, South Carolina.

The assessment conducted on this marsh hammock did not record any site eligible, or not, for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.

The purpose of this report is to assess the effect that the proposed Federal building and parking structure will have on the Savannah Historic District, and offer recommendations to mitigate the effect, should an adverse effect be identified.

Lot 29 is an 80 by 45 foot property situated near the north end of Ott Street on the eastern periphery of Savannah. A Victorian period house stood here until its removal on or about October 16, 1979.

The intent of this paper is to focus on the spatial associations and distribution of aggregate village sites. The research area is limited to those barrier islands located between the Savannah River in Georgia, and the Nassau River in northeast Florida (Figure 1).
