Report Abstracts

In November of 2000, Southeastern Archeological Services conducted an archeological survey of two tracts that together total 41.3 ha (102 ac) for the Board of Commissioners of McDuffie County, Georgia, through the engineering firm of Precision Planning, Inc.

An intensive archeological survey was conducted of a proposed 3.9 km long bypass around the south side of the town of Dawsonville. About one third of the project involves widening an existing two land road and the remainder involves construction of a two land road on wooded new location.

This project consists of traffic signal upgrades at 34 intersections in DeKalb County, Georgia.

In July of 2001, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted an intensive archeological survey of approximately 132 ha (327 ac) at Magnolia Springs State Park in Jenkins County, Georgia.

In May and June, 2001 Southeastern Archeological Services conducted an intensive archeological survey for the proposed expansion of the Seminole Road Landfill, near DeKalb County's southern boundary.

The Boy Scouts of America wishes to develop about 500 ac of land that forms a large peninsula on Thurmond Lake, in Lincoln County, Georgia. About half the acreage, along the lake shore, is federal land managed by the U.S.

This report presents the results of an intensive archeological survey performed by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. in southeastern Peach County, where the Georgia Transmission Corporation wishes to construct the proposed Aultman Road 115/12 kV Substation.

In late 2008 Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted a Phase I archeological survey of a proposed 10.3 km (6.4 mi) transmission line corridor and proposed substation sites at either end of the line in Liberty County, Georgia (Gresham 2008).

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) of Athens, Georgia, contracted with Nutter & Associates, Inc. of Athens, Georgia, conducted a cultural resources survey of approximately 740 acres in Harris County, Georgia.
