Report Abstracts

On Saturday, April 28, 1984,Trilobite Research was contacted by Mr. William E. Schmidt, Alpharetta, Georgia to assess a series of stone mounds located on his and the adjacent property of Mr. William E. Patterson.

In June 2001, TRC Garrow Associates, Inc., conducted a cultural resources survey of a 288-acre tract in Fulton County, Georgia. The project tract is the proposed location for a power plant. All construction will occur on the western portion of the parcel.

Shovel testing and surface reconnaissance were utilized to archaeologically survey the proposed location of the Canton Cherokee County Business and Industrial Park. One prehistoric site, roughly 250 X 150 meters, was discovered in the terrace portion of the impact area.

Between the 7th and 15th of August 1989 a reconnaissance-level archaeological survey was conducted on a proposed development tract near Duluth, Georgia by personnel from Garrow & Associates, Inc. of Atlanta for the Hamilton Corporation of Marietta.

In January 2002, TRC Garrow Associates, Inc., conducted a cultural resources survey of a 50acre tract in Fulton County, Georgia. The project was undertaken on behalf of Montgomery Watson/Khafra. It included both archaeological and historic structure surveys.

The proposed project consists of the widening and reconstruction of Danielsville Road in Athens. This project begins at the end of a four-lane roadway near CR 109/Sonny Hill Drive and ends at the intersection of CR 107/Hull Road.

Projects FR-002-6(52) and FR-002-6(53) consist of the widening and reconstruction of State Route 15 between Athens and Arcade in north Georgia.

The proposed project, located on SR 8/Athens Bypass between North Avenue and SR 8/US 29 Ramp, would provide a 12-foot acceleration/deccelaration lane for eastbound weaving movements between entrance and exit ramps. Widening would occur within the existing 300 feet right-of-way.

Project STP-OOTS(19) would involve the replacement of existing traffic signals in the city of Athens. This would include 25 intersections along SR 10/Broad Street, Clayton Street, Washington Street, Hancock Street, and Dougherty Street.

The proposed project consists of the widening and reconstruction of Riverbend Road from College Station Road to the Central Georgia Railroad R/W, just west of Milledge Avenue.
