Report Abstracts

This is the proposed within-median widening of Interstate 75 from a point just south of 1-675 to a point just south of 1-285. The total length of the project is 10.9 miles.

Proposed project would symmetrically widen existing bridge structure on N. Main St./Old S.R. 3 at Jester's Creek. The proposed project would require 100 feet of right of way with temporary construction easements. Existing right of way is 80 feet.

Project FR-164-1(28) Spur consists of the widening and reconstruction of SR 54 beginning at the intersection of SR 138 Bypass in Jonesboro and extending 1000 feet north of the intersection with oxford Drive in Morrow, with a 1200 foot exception for project IR-75-2(174).

Project MR-9108(5) consists of the widening and reconstruction of Battlecreek Road from Valley Hill Road east to Southlake Parkway in Morrow. Project BHMLB-9108(3) would be the replacement of the bridge over Jesters Creek.

Project MR-9109(1) consists of the widening of Mt. Zion Road in Morrow from Jonesboro Road/S.R. 54 to the intersection with Mt. Zion Boulevard. The existing right-of-way is 80 feet; the required right-of-way would be 90 feet.

Project MR-9107(2) consists of the widening of Flint River Road. The project begins at Webb Road and continues east toward Tara Boulevard/U.S. 19/U.S. 41. Intersection improvements at Webb Road, Kendrick Lane, and Roberts Road will be on new location.

The proposed project would widen Anvilblock Road east of Fort Gillem. The project as proposed would begin at a point approximately 3300 feet east of the 1-675 interchange then would extend easterly along existing Anvilblock Road to the intersection of Bouldercrest Road.

The proposed project would widen and reconstruct SR 138 from 1-75 west to! Jonesboro. A minimum 160 feet right-of-way is required to widen the_ existing two-lane to a divided four-lane roadway.

This project consists of the construction of frontage roads along Tara Boulevard/US 41/US 19 from 1-75 to SR 54. A maximum of 100 feet of additional right-of-way would be required for the entire length of the 4.5 mile project corridor.

The proposed projects would widen S.R. 85 from S.R. 279 in Fayette County northward to Roberts Drive in Clayton County. Existing right-of-way is 170 feet. Minor right-of-way and slope easements would be required. In addition, the twin bridges over Camp Creek would be widened.
