9Wo(DOT)3 was located during the archaeological survey for Department of Transportation Project RF-131-2(1}P (see Archaeological Survey for RF-131-2(1)P, Crisp, Worth and Dougherty Counties, Georgia 11) conducted in July, August and October, 1977.

Cultural resource studies were conducted for a tract slated for impact by the expansion of the R. L. Sutton Water Treatment Plant located in Cobb County, Georgia. The 22 acre tract includes the floodplain of the Chattahoochee River and the adjacent uplands.

Archaeological survey was conducted by Brockington and Associates, Inc. on a 100 acre wooded tract adjacent to the Canongate Golf Course, in Coweta County, Georgia. These investigations were undertaken in compliance with the Regulatory Program of the U.S.
