The dock construction on the Ogeechee River at Hardwicke Estates, Bryan County will not affect any archaeological sites. However, it should be noted that just northeast of the dock site is Seven Mile Bend, the location of extensive prehistoric occupation as well as the historic site of Hardwick.

Construction of the tidegate at the Landings on Skidaway Island will result in the partial destruction and flooding of a fairly large midden bordering the tidal creek. The portion of the midden to be affected is approximately 18 inches thick, 15 feet wide, and 75 feet long.

The southern half of the area to be effected by the proposed highway construction was surveyed on foot. This section begins approximately 200 yards west of the intersection of SR 15-US 441 and Milledge Ave. And terminates at the point where the proposed highway will intersect US 78.
