Southeastern Wildlife Services, Inc. has conducted a background and literature review and field survey at Fort Benning, Georgia. The project area includes approximately 481 ha in Muscogee and Chattahoochee Counties, Georgia.

A cultural resources survey of a 40 foot wide, 7,000 foot long sewer corridor and a 400 square foot pumping station was conducted just north of Jasper, Georgia in Pickens County. The area was characterized by steep valleys and poorly drained flood plains of small streams.

An archeological survey of the proposed Altamaha River Park, Appling County, Georgia, was conducted in February 1984. The project area included 26 acres immediately adjacent to bluffs overlooking the Altamaha River.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service contracted with Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., to conduct a reconnaissance survey of areas surrounding the Okefenokee Swamp that may be disturbed by the construction of fire breaks and fire access roads.

An unmarked historic cemetery was discovered at Fort Benning, Georgia, during the construction of the Carmouche Range.

Oglethorpe Power Corporation is in the process of examining several alternative locations for a pumped-storage hydroelectric facility. one alternative location is in the Chattahoochee National Forest along Mill Creek in northeastern Murray County, Georgia, about 15 km northeast of Chatsworth.

A cultural resources survey was conducted of a proposed transmission line and substation in western Cobb County, Georgia.
