A cultural resources survey of portions of the proposed sewer improvements in Carnesville, Georgia was undertaken to locate, identify, and evaluate archeological sites that may be impacted during construction. The survey recorded four sites where cultural material occurred.

This report will deal with the results of an archaeoligical survey of a one-hundred acre tract of land that the U. S. Forest Service proposes to exchange.

The Bartow County School System is proposing to construct a combination Middle School and High School near the Etowah River in the southern portion of the county (Figure 1).

The US Army Infantry Center, Fort Benning, Georgia proposes to construct a Drop Zone (DZ) for the Army Rangers at Camp Merrill. The DZ will be constructed on US Forest Service property in Fannin County, Georgia near the rural community of Swan (see Figure 1).

An intensive cultural resources survey was conducted at Florence Marina State Park from 10 to 20 April 1990. The park is jointly owned by the Mobile District, Corps of Engineers and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources but is operated by the State.

In accordance with a contract agreement between the U.S.D.A., Soil Conservation Service and the Department of Anthropology, University of Georgia, archaeological and historical investigations are currently being conducted in the Middle Oconee - Walnut Creek Watershed.

This report presents the results of an archaeological survey in the Middle Oconee-Walnut Creek watershed where the U.S.D.A., Soil Conservation Service proposes to construct seven flood water-retarding structures (Structures 3, 4, 5, 11, 16, 20, and 21) and one multiple-purpose structure (8).

Southern Research conducted a five mile survey of a proposed bypass corridor around McRae, Georgia in Telfair County and a small portion of western Wheeler County for the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Southern Research of Ellerslie, Georgia conducted an archeological survey and evaluation of the site of the Old Governor's Mansion (recorded at the Georgia Archaeological Site Files as 9BL134).
