Report Abstracts

"In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, BRS-0785 (10), Oglethorpe County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

This proposed project consists of the milling, leveling, and resurfacing of SR 52 beginning at the Dawson/Lumpkin County Line (M.P. 0.00) and ending at SR 52/SR 9 intersection (M.P. 9.56). All work will take place within the existing right-of-way, with no new right-of-way required.

Project STP-005-2(19) would widen SR 19/US 41 in Lamar County, Georgia. The project would also include intersection improvements at CR 63 and CR 64. The project begins at the Lamar/Monroe County line and terminates approximately 0.38 mile east of the SR 19/US 41 /CR 64 intersection.

Project BLDG-DST3-98-032 involves the construction of a building measuring approximately 22.9 m (75ft) x 9.1 m (30ft) and a pole barn measuring approximately 18.3 m (60ft) x 9.1 m (30ft).

Archaeological Assessment of a Chatham County Resurfacing Improvement Project. The proposed project consists of resurfacing, installation of rumble strips, and rehabilitation of earth shoulders on SR 30 from the Effingham/Chatham county line to SR 21 in Chatham County (see attached map).

The proposed project would include resurfacing, shoulder rehabilitation, and striping on SR 100 in Polk County. The proposed project would begin on SR 100 at the Polk/Haralson County line then continue northerly to an end point at US 27/SR 1 (generally from MP 0.00 to MP 5.43).
