The proposed work will take place along a 2.107-mile section of State Route (SR) 27 EA (Lamar Street) and a 2.062 mile section of SR 27 WE (Forsyth Street) from SR 3/US 19 to the intersection of SR 30 in Americus, Sumter County Georgia (Figure l).

This is the investigation of a mound in a proposed weight station area near Uchee Creek on I-20 in Columbia County. The project was originally supposed to miss the mound, but has been revised to take it. The mound Is 10-15 feet high and rises sharply above the surrounding land.
