The bridge on SR 42 (US 23) over Norfolk Southern Railroad, Structure ID 151-0009-0, was built in 1938 and widened in 1979. This bridge consists of eight (8) spans of steel beams on concrete caps with concrete columns in the approach spans and steel caps with concrete columns in the main spans.

Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) P.1. No. 0013990 would replace the existing State Route (SR) 136 bridge over Toto Creek/Lake Lanier located approximately 7.6 miles southeast of the City of Dawsonville. The existing bridge is 272 feet long and has a total deck width of 26.8 feet.

This project will replace the existing bridge on SR 122 over Mule Creek, which is 2 miles east of Pavo, with a new bridge using two 12-foot lanes and 6-foot shoulders on both sides. The roadway section will include two 12-foot lanes with 6-foot rural shoulders (2-feet paved, 4-feet grassed).
