Report Abstracts

Project RS-1480(2) begins at the intersection of U.S. 80 and the Islands Expressway. The roadway will extend south on new location, generally paralleling Saffold Airfield, and terminating into a T-intersection with Johnny Mercer Boulevard.

Project PROLP-28(019) is located in Berrien County and consists of 3.35 miles of grading, drainage, and base and surfacing on County Road 28. This project is located in the 8th Congressional District. The existing road is an unimproved road with inadequate drainage.

Subterranean Consultants (STC) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the Saddlecreek telecommunication facility lease area and access/utility easement on June 21, 2019. The project area is in central Houston County in Perry, Georgia.

Archaeological Assessment of a District 7 Resurfacing Project: The proposed project would consist of the milling, resurfacing, and striping on SR 8 in DeKalb County, Georgia.

Subterranean Consultants (STC) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the Hwy 102 Mitchell GA telecommunication facility lease area, access/utility easement, and 3 guy easements on May 5, 2019. The project area is in western Glascock County in Mitchell, Georgia.

On March 20, Tom Scruggs, Soils Engineer, contacted this office regarding possible gravesites near State Route 53 just west of Fairmont, in Gordon County.

Project STP-034-2(32), Irwin/ Ben Hill Counties: Determination of No Undertaking: The subject project would consist of leveling and surfacing of US 129 / SR 11.

Project PR 225-(023) is located in Bleckley County is involves the leveling and resurfacing of County Road 225 for 3.16 miles. This project is located in the 8th Congressional District of Georgia. The project will begin at County Road 94 and end at Twiggs County Line.

Project STP- 9073(22), Fulton County: Determination of No Undertaking for History and Archaeology.

Areas which have the potential for archaeological resources along the proposed south Hartwell Bypass are as follows: 1) Lightwood Log Creek and tributaries, 2) Cedar Creek and tributaries, 3) Little Cedar Creek and tributaries and 4) an unnamed tributary of Lightwood Log Creek.
