Report Abstracts

Basing on the "Summary proposal for the West Point Area Salvage Program for 1969," previously submitted, the present review will follow the same outline.

A cultural resource survey and review has been completed for 272 acres of the Chattahoochee National Forest. A total of 156 acres of the 272 acres were surveyed for the current project.

The Pleasant Hill Road Widening at Chattahoochee River to McClure Bridge Road project is a Gwinnett County Department of Transportation project (P.I. No. F-0035) with the overall purpose of expanding the existing road to alleviate increased traffic flow.

This is a bridge project, BRF-062-1(12), located in Johnson County. The bridge is on SR 57 and crosses Buckeye Creek and Ohoopee River. The existing structures are 23.8 feet by 100 feet and 23.8 feet by 400 feet. Both structures are timber, steel, and concrete bridges.

Project IM- MS(l94), Bartow/Cherokee Counties: Proposed Bridge Painting: the proposed project consists of the painting of bridges at fourteen locations (see attached maps).

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the following bridge projects were surveyed for archaeological material. The bridge in this report was BRZLB-055(2) located in Chattooga County.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, the following bridge projects were surveyed for archaeological material. The bridge in this report is BRS-1778(9) located in Bartow County.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project FR-065-3(30), Hall County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

This is a bridge project, BRZLB-159(8), located in Jasper County. The bridge is on CR 75 and crosses White Oak Creek. This project proposes to replace the bridge on CR 75 over White Oak Creek. There is one site associated with this project and that 9JA173.
