Apalachee Research Archaeological Consultants Inc. contracted with Pilot Environmental Inc. to complete cultural resource investigations in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and its implementing regulations 36CFR800.

During December 16-31, 2017, Brockington and Associates. Inc. completed background research and an archaeological site delineation for Fairfield Plantation, a circa 1810 home originally constructed for John Lamar (1769-1833) and his wife Rebecca Lamar (1774-1839).

Georgia Project IM-00MS(268), Newton County, proposes to rehabilitate and reconstruct the existing interchange ramps, replacement of the existing bridge overpasses, and upgrade the ramp/cross street intersections of three intersections along lnterstate-20 in Newton County.

Archaeological Assessment of a District 4 Resurfacing Project; the proposed project would consist of mainline milling, leveling, and resurfacing, on SR 32 in Terrell County.

The proposed project consists of the replacement of old, structurally inadequate fender systems on five bridges. The existing fender systems, which protect the bridge substructures, cannot withstand too many more collisions.
