Environmental Corporation of America (ECA) has completed an Archaeological Assessment for the federal undertaking at the subject site.

The proposed project was field surveyed for historic properties in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto. The survey boundary and methodology were established using the GDOTIFHWA Cultural Resources Survey Guidelines.

This is a bridge replacement over Rock Creek on CR 43/Silver Shoals Road. The existing 40’ x 27’ bridge will be replaced with 50 feet of 10’ x 9’ box culvert. The existing right of way and the proposed right of way are unknown at this time.

TO INCREASE SAFETY, ELIMINATE DRIVER CONFUSION, AND REDUCE THE ACCIDENT RATE BY UPGRADING THE RIGHT TURN LANE TO CHERRY HILL ROAD. ALSO, PROVIDE AN ACCELERATION LANE FOR VEHICLES TURNING EAST FROM CHERRY HILL RD. ONTO A DOWNHILL GRADE WITH POOR SIGHT DISTANCE.

24 hours prior to clearing and grubbing of the project corridor at Panther Creek.

Location - Tallapoosa River crossing county Road 141 approximately 2.5 miles east of Tallapoosa, Georgia.

TerraXplorations, Inc. (TerraX) of Mobile, Alabama was contracted by Trileaf Corporation (Trileaf) of Maitland, Florida to conduct a Phase I archaeological direct effects and visual effects survey for the proposed Jonesboro Road cellular tower in Fulton County, Georgia.
