This is a bridge project, BHS-0880(7), located in Habersham County. The bridge is on State Route 197 and crosses Soquee River. The existing structure has concrete abutments, steal beams, a concrete deck, and is 67 feet long by 19 feet wide. There is no existing right-of-way.

In the summer of 2005 Coastal Heritage Society plans were well underway to develop a derelict property into Battlefield Park in downtown Savannah, Georgia (Figure I). This would be the culmination of a movement to memorialize the fallen of the 1779 Battle of Savannah.
