Between October 7 and November 29, 1974, the University of Georgia conducted an archaeological survey of the Evans County Watershed, in Evans, Tattnall, and Candler Counties, for the Soil Conservation Service.

Panamerican Consultants, Inc. (PCI), archaeologically surveyed approximately 447.6 hectares (1,106 acres) in response to a Scope of Work for a Cultural Resources Survey of Selected Impact areas in the Townsend Bombing Range, McIntosh County, Georgia.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project STP-9252(6) & project STP-9250(1), Fulton and Cobb Counties, have been surveyed with respect to archeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the Nation

A preliminary archaeological field study of the Mill Branch Watershed in Bacon County, Georgia was recently conducted in response to a proposed watershed project sponsored by Bacon County and the Altamaha Soil and Water Conservation District.

This report presents the results of a field survey of archaeological sites in proposed construction areas in the Ten Mile- Brian Creek Watershed, Bacon County, Georgia.

In accordance with a contract agreement between the U.S.D.A., Soil Conservation Service and the Department of Anthropology, University of Georgia, archaeological and historical investigations are currently being conducted in the Middle Oconee - Walnut Creek Watershed.
