On April 15, 1998, New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed extension of Dogwood Drive, Rockdale County, Georgia.

Department of Transportation Project PFH-50(l), Jasper County, proposes to replace five wooden plank bridges on County Road 141/River Four of the f ive proposed bridge replacement sites are located partially or completely on U.S.D.A. Oconee National Forest property.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Williamson Road/Brownley Drive widening, Bibb County, Georgia on March 19 and 20, 1998. The survey of the approximately 2.4 mile corridor consisted of widening of existing alignment.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, archaeologically surveyed approximately 49.5 acres (20 ha.) in response to a request by Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. The acreage is located south of the Moody Air Force Base South Gate, east of Bemiss Road.

On November 25, 1997 New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed bridge replacement north of Leguin Mill Road crossing Tussahaw Creek, Henry County, Georgia.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, GDOT Project IM-185-1(326), Muscogee County, was surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.

During 1997 and early 1998 Fort Stewart, Georgia underwent Southern Pine Beetle infestations of epidemic proportions.

On August 15, 1997 New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for improvements to the intersection of SR 162/Salem Road at CR 511/Brown Bridge Road and the relocation of CR 32/Salem Circle, Newton County, Georgia.

Archeological and architectural resources surveys and site evaluation studies were conducted at the proposed Deerfield Park Development Site in Fulton County, Georgia in the summer of 1997.

Thomas and Hutton Engineering Company contracted with Brockington and Associates, Inc. to conduct a cultural resources evaluation of a proposed sewer line easement located south of Dublin, in Laurens County, Georgia.
