Report Abstracts

On October 18 and November 9,2002, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) surveyed fourteen intersections in Hall and Jackson Counties, in the cities of Gainesville, Jefferson, and Commerce, Georgia (Figures 1-4).

The survey reported here was designed to locate archeological sites in the areas of potential effect of a Sumter County bridge replacement project proposed by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).

From August 12-15, 2002, TRC conducted a Phase II archaeological investigation in the vicinity, of Station 418 70 along the proposed Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Toccoa-Youngcane 161-kV transmission line in Fannin and Union counties, Georgia.
