The Georgia Department of Transportation wishes to widen and improve a 1.5 km (0.9 mi) length of U.S. Highway 19/41 in Griffin, the county seat of Spalding County.

The survey described here was designed to locate and evaluate archeological sites in the area of a bridge replacement project proposed by the Georgia Department of Transportation in Seminole County, the southwestern corner of Georgia.

Under contract with the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC), Dames & Moore, a subsidiary of URS Corporation, was tasked to conduct a Phase I Archaeological Survey (Phase I) of an approximately 25-acre site along Stonewall Tell Road near Union City in Fulton County, Georgia.

On February 12, 2001, staff archaeologists from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) conducted an archaeological survey of CR 82 in Treutlen County, Georgia. More specifically, GDOT project PR-82(283) would grade, drain, base, and surface CR 82.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, as amended, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Historic Preservation Division staff conducted an intensive archaeological survey for a segment of the Etowah River Greenway Project in Bartow County, Georgia.

Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. conducted Phase I archeological survey and Phase II testing of a 1607 ha (3970 ac) tract located in the Altamaha River floodplain in Long County. The survey began on November 1, 1999 and was completed on January 7, 2000.
