On 1 October 2002, Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted an archaeological resources survey of four proposed intersection improvements located in Macon County, Georgia.

Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted an intensive Phase I archaeological resources survey on 9 October 2002 for the proposed South Fork Broad River Bridge Replacement (State Route [SR] 172 over South Fork Broad River) in Madison County, Georgia, under contract with Greenhorne & O'Mara,

In February and March of 2000, R.S. Webb & Associates conducted a literature review and an intensive archeological resources survey for the proposed Demorest Improvement Project at two road intersections in Habersham County, Georgia.

A four-person crew from New South Associates, Inc. conducted Phase II test excavations at 9Ec3 between August 19 and 23, 2002. The aim of the test excavations was to determine the site's research potential and eligibility to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

The Georgia Department of Transportation proposes to replace the bridge on SR 16/US 27 Alternate over the Chattahoochee River at the Carroll-Coweta County Line. The proposed bridge replacement will consist of relocating SR 16/US 27 Alternate west of the present location.

On November 12, 2002, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) archeologically surveyed 37 highway/street intersections in Troup County, most of which are in the county seat of LaGrange (Figure 1).
