In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project STP-0001-00(239), Cobb County, Georgia, has been surveyed with respect to archeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Pl

The proposed project would replace the collapsed bridge with a new bridge structure, which would be constructed approximately 200 feet south of the former bridge location. The bridge would be a three-span concrete structure with Type I beams and 63-inch bulb tee beams.

The proposed project would consist of a park and ride lot facility on a 3.96-acre site located in Clayton County, Georgia (see attached location map). The facility would be located at an undeveloped parcel along Lamar Hutcheson Parkway, between Roberts Drive and Valley Hill Road.

The proposed roadway would be constructed primarily on new location with a four-lane typical section and 20-foot raised median, with rural 10-foot shoulders, 6.5 feet of which would be paved. A four-foot paved bike lane would be included within the 6.5-foot paved portion of the shoulder.
