The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests recently completed a survey of 68 acres for a proposed commercial harvest on the Oconee Ranger District in Jasper, Putnam, and Greene Counties. This project is designed to restore upland oak habitat to meet Forest Plan standards.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I survey of the proposed Cartersville water main corridor between June 22 and 27, 2006. The corridor was located west of downtown Cartersville and was approximately nine kilometers (5.6 miles) in length.

Project Description: The proposed project would consist of the replacement of the SR 36 Bridge over the South River. A temporary detour bridge would be erected adjacent to the existing bridge; however, it has not yet been determined to which side of the road the detour would be established.

During March and April 2006, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed location for the Peachtree City Airport Expansion. The project area included approximately 85 acres.

This project proposes to widen and reconstruct the Cochran Bypass, SR 87, in Bleckley County.

The revision consists of the removal of the intersection of Perimeter Summit Parkway with Parkside Place and the intersection of Lake Heam Drive with Parkside Place and the addition of the intersection of Motor Industrial Way with the Brandsmart entrance and the intersection of Motor Industrial W

The proposed project would widen SR 23/121 from I-16 to Lytell Street (CS 610). SR 23/121 would be widened to a five lane urban roadway with two 12-foot travel lanes in each direction and a 14-foot two-way left-turn lane.

The proposed project would widen Lee Road from two-lanes to four-lanes with a raised median and turn lanes. The project would also include 12-foot roadway shoulders and sidewalks.

An archaeological survey (Level II) was conducted in accordance with "GDOT/FHWA Cultural Resource Survey Guidelines" developed by the GDOT Staff Archaeologists in consultation with DNR Historic Preservation Division Staff and concurred in by the Federal Highway Administration and State Historic P
