Report Abstracts

This report documents the results of a Phase I archeological survey of a proposed alignment for the Greensboro Bypass in Greene County, Georgia.

During August 2006, archaeologists with Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted additional survey for the widening and reconstruction of SR 140. The original survey was conducted in June 2006 by EPEI.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project CSNHS-M003-00(235), in DeKalb and Rockdale Counties, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register

This project is an addendum to a previous Phase I archaeological survey conducted in advance of a proposed bridge replacement at SR 83 over Little Sandy Creek (Gardner and Will 2003). This project is located approximately two miles south of Bostwick, GA (Figure 1).

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project CSMSL-0008-00(344), Clayton County, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Place

Original: The proposed project would reconstruct the existing interchange on Interstate 75 (I-75) and County Road (CR) 418/Omega-Eldorado Road (Exit 55) in Tift County.

Project STP-29-1(32) would widen, realign, and replace the existing drainage system on SR 49 in Terrell County. The project was originally surveyed in 2002 by Teresa Lotti (HPO11126-003). Since that time the project has been lengthened on the eastern end by 0.16 mile.

The proposed project would widen the existing four-lane mainline of I-85 to six lanes in Franklin County beginning just north of SR 17 and ending just north of SR 11 in South Carolina.

The proposed project is an enhancement and pedestrian improvement project that is a component of the revitalization master plan for central Snellville.

The proposed project will develop pedestrian connectivity, improve pedestrian safety, improve bicycle safety and ease pedestrian circulation along portions of Memorial Drive as well along Martin Street in downtown Atlanta.
