A Cultural Resources Survey was performed on the proposed extension of Forest Service Road 249 in the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area of western Union County, in the Toccoa Ranger District.

This-report covers a Cultural Resource Survey of the two mile Branch A from Stover Creek Road, crossing Middle Mountain in southwest Whitfield County, Georgia, and an adjacent wildlife opening. The terrain covered was extremely steep and very rocky having been logged in the past.

On June 29 and 30, 1981, a cultural resource assessment was carried out on a 4.36 acre (1.75 hectare) tract in Fort Gaines, Georgia.

The proposed Lick Creek substation site and transmission line, Putnam County, Georgia were surveyed in order to locate and identify any archaeological sites which may exist within the survey area and to determine whether such sites that exist may be eligible for nomination to the National Regist

From August 18 through August 20, 1981, Cultural Resource Services, Inc. conducted a 100 percent coverage cultural resource pedestrian survey of proposed sewerage system improvements in Commerce, Jackson County, Georgia.

An archaeological assessment survey was conducted at the Franklin Waste Treatment Plant, Heard County, Georgia. One aboriginal site, designated WGC 1542, was discovered.

An archeological survey of four proposed construction sites for water system improvements in Baldwin County, Georgia, was conducted at the request of Tribble and Richardson, Inc.

The site of the proposed Oak Mountain substation, Carroll County, Georgia, was surveyed in order to locate, identify, and assess any archaeological sites which might exist. No sites were found within the survey area.

The proposed Swakers substation and transmission lin Ben Hill County, Georgia, were surveyed in order to locate and assess any archaeological sites which may exist. No artifacts or other evidence of prehistoric or significant historic activity were found.

The proposed Ocee substation, Fulton County, Georgia, was surveyed in order to locate and assess any archaeological sites which may exist. No artifacts or other evidence of prehistoric or significant historic activity were found.
