A cultural resource survey was conducted over a 2-mile length of proposed road FS 339 which extends from Noontootla Creek to Peter Knob in Fannin County, Georgia. Field reconnaissance which included subsurface testing located two aboriginal sites and one historic rock pile site.

A cultural resource survey was conducted over the 1.53 mile length of Woody Creek Road around the lower slopes of Black Mountain. No sites were found on the steep slopes or in the two disturbed saddle areas in the roadway. Clearance is recommended.
