Report Abstracts

On August 15, 1981 an archaeological survey of a proposed water tank site in Shiloh, Georgia was conducted. A systematic surface and subsurface survey of the project area revealed that it had been used as an agricultural field sometime in the past.

An archaeological, botanical and wildlife survey was conducted for the Lumpkin, Georgia 201 Facilities.

A cultural resources reconnaissance was conducted in areas proposed for recreational facilities development at Clarks Hill Lake. The proposed impact projects are within the Lake Springs, Clay Hill, Big Hart and Modoc recreation areas; Columbia, Lincoln, McDuffie and McCormick (SC) Counties.

On August 24, 1977, Ernest W. Seckinger and Terry A. Ferguson conducted a cultural resource survey of 5.48 acres of land proposed for exchange with Mr Odell Vandiver.

The State Office of the Soil Conservation Service at Athens, Georgia granted a contract to Dr. A.R. Kelly for a survey of the total drainage area of Tribble Mill Creek, located in the southeastern part of Gwinnett County, Georgia. Dr.

The proposed project would widen and improve Colerain Road (CR 61) from SR 40, west of Kingsland, to the 1-95 interchange to facilitate the Kingsland Bypass, a coastal evacuation route.

An archaeological survey for prehistoric and historic sites was conducted at 8 small tracts along Clark Hill Reservoir and at 7 small tracts along Hartwell Reservoir. Both reservoirs the Savannah River in Georgia and South Carolina.

An archaeological survey was conducted at two small irrigation structures within the Little Creek Watershed in Wheeler County, Georgia, The total area surveyed was 12 hectares (29 acres).
