Report Abstracts

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the ways in which archaeology has been and can be applied to the study of historic cemeteries.

This report documents the results of the cultural resources survey for Trileaf Corporation Project 676451 Sturgeon Creek, located in Ben Hill County, Georgia.

From September 30 to November 7, 2014, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed State Route (SR) 166 Widening and Bowdon Bypass projects in Carroll County, Georgia (Georgia Department of Transportation [GDOT] P.I. Nos.

The City of Roswell awarded a contract to Brockington and Associates, Inc. to conduct an archaeological reconnaissance survey of 6.2 acres (approximately 2.5 ha) of the Historic Roswell Mill (9FU205) site, located on city-owned land.

No existing or eligible National Register archaeological resources were located within the project's area of potential environmental effect.

A Phase I cultural resources survey of the proposed City of Fairburn Land Application Site in Fulton County, Georgia was conducted to locate and identify cultural resources within the project area and assess resource significance.

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Northmont-Commerce Connector north and south links on May 28, 1998. The northern link is approximately 1,000 feet long while the southern link is 600 feet in length.

A Phase II archaeological testing investigation was conducted on the Barrett Parkway Site 9 (9C0352) located in Cobb County, Georgia by Garrow & Associates, Inc. for the Cobb County Department of Transportation.

The proposed project consists of adding an interchange on 1-75 approximately 2100 feet north of the Chattahoochee River bridge in conjunction with construction of the Kennedy Parkway and related roadway improvements or relocations. Figure 2 illustrates the proposed project.
