During Phase I survey work, an archaeological site was identified at the proposed location of a marina.

This paper reports on the Cultural Resources survey conducted on Causton's Bluff, Chatham County, Georgia. Approximately 75 acres of land have been slated for development by the Causton's Bluff Land Associates.

Cultural resources surveys were conducted on a series of tracts in southwestern Jasper County, Georgia, from mid-1982, through mid-1984. They were on the Oconee National Forest, and were done prior to various Forest activity plans.

This report covers Phase II testing of a small brick making site found in a 1978 survey prior to a proposed land exchange in eastern Habersham County, on the Chattahoochee National Forest.

This cultural resource survey covers 233 acres of proposed timber sale area, with its service roads in the Cooks and Nelson Coves, below Beasley Knob in Union County. All of the area had been previously logged and much of it was farmed; it is now forested.

A cultural resources survey of 174 acres of National Forest land was conducted by the author in May 1984 along the proposed 4.6 mile right-of-way for the Williamson Cove Road (FR792). Additional acreage was surveyed in Williamson Cove, Devil's Den Branch and Polecat Branch Areas.

Oglethorpe Power Corporation contracted with Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. to conduct an intensive cultural resources survey of a proposed 3.2 mi (5.2 km) transmission line and 2.85 ac (1.2 ha) substation in Quitman County, Georgia.

On March 28, 1984, the author conducted a cultural resource survey on the proposed Carter, Miller, and Twiggs Exchange located in the Brasstown Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

During a 5-day period from January 18-27, 1983, the author conducted a cultural resource survey over a total of 1417 acres in Compartments 14 and 15 in the Tallulah Ranger District of the Chattahoochee National Forest in Rabun County, Georgia.

The excavations at, the Carmouche site Ome2l ) are described in detail. The site is a multicomponent, stratified archeological site located on Upatoi Creek within the Fort Benning Military Reservation.
