Planned construction of support buildings near Port Services Facilities at the Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Georgia, prompted an intensive survey of a portion of the Kings Bay Site, 9CAM171C Partial.

This report presents results of Phase II Archaeological Testing of eleven aboriginal and historical sites located on the Naval Submarine Base--Kings Bay (NSB-KB), Camden County, Georgia (Figures 1.1-1.2).

On August 28. 1981. the Department of the Navy entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Georgia State Historic Preservation Officer and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.

The purpose of this report is to present the findings of a recently conducted archeological site assessment survey on the U.S. Navy's Trident Submarine facility located at Kings Bay, Georgia (Figure 1).

An intensive archaeological survey was conducted along the southern edges of the Frohock Point Prehistoric Site (9CAM184) and the Mallard Creek Site (9CAM185), two adjacent multi-component prehistoric sites on the Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Georgia.

Lands scheduled to be impacted by the City of St. Marys, Georgia, for development of a civic center were subjected to an intensive archaeological survey in May 1985.

Planned construction of a refit wharf and support buildings prompted secondary testing of a potentially undisturbed portion of the Kings Bay Site (9CAM171), a large prehistoric shell midden located on the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, Camden County, Georgia.

This report describes the results of test excavations carried out at Crange Hall in St. Marys, Georgia from June 22nd to the 27th, 1979. These tests were performed in compliance with 36 C.F.R.

The prehistoric cultural remains on Cumberland are located along the edge of the marsh. The sites begin about the two meter contour line and extend inland.

This report presents the archaeology of. two aboriginal sites located on the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, Camden County, Georgia (Figures 1.1-1.2). Constructing the submarine base has meant the destruction of several important archaeological sites.
