The following report has been prepared for submission to the Management Section, Department of the Army, Mobile District, Corps of Engineers, in compliance with current performance guidelines.

A cultural resources survey was conducted in December 1985 by the author on 35 acres of National Forest property on Lake Nottely, known as the Deaverstown tract, prior to a land transfer from the U.S. Forest Service to the Tennessee Valley Authority.

A Cultural resources survey was conducted in June, 1985P with follow-ups in January and March 1986. A total of 2724 acres of National Forest land were surveyed in Whitfield and Walker Counties, northwest Georgia which were designated an Off-Roads Vehicle (ORV) recreation area.

This cultural resources survey report covers 764 acres of Oconee National Forest land offered for exchange with two private land owners, Eugene Kelly and T.H. Resseau, Jr. It was in four parcels three of which are reported here; the other was reported in 1978.

A cultural resources survey of 2.26 acres was conducted on the northenmost end of Butler's Point, Saint Simons Island , Glynn County, Georgia during May 1986.

A cultural resources survey of a 3.2 km (2 mi) long, 30 m (100 f t) wide transmission line corridor and a 6 ha (15 ac) substation tract in Gwinnett County was conducted in April, 1986, by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., for Oglethorpe Power Corporation.

A cultural resources survey of portions of the proposed Madison - Union Point 115 kV transmission line was conducted in July and August, 1985, for Oglethorpe Power Corporation. Surveyed were 10.9 mi of existing transmission line, 2 mi of new right-of-way, and the Lickskillet substation site.

A cultural resources survey of nearly 4.5 mi (7.2 km) of 115 kV transmission line and a 6 ac (2.4 ha) tract for a proposed 115/12kV substation was conducted in November, 1985, by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., for Oglethorpe Power Corporation.

From May 25, through May 27, 1985, Robert S. Webb, archeological consultant for Tribble & Richardson, Inc. conducted a 100 percent coverage pedestrian survey of a proposed 264 acre spray irrigation site for wastewater treatment near Ashburn in Turner County, Georgia.
