Between January 1 and 12, 2016 Brockington and Associates, Inc. (Brockington) conducted a Cultural Resources Literature Review and Reconnaissance o f a proposed 1,643-acre (665-hectare [ha]) development tract in Baldwin County. Georgia. Figures I and 2 provide the project location.

This report presents the findings of an archaeological and historical resources survey for a natural gas pipeline replacement and relocation project.

This report includes findings by Richard Lee Smith in association with the Research Laboratories of Anthropology from the University of North Carolina during the summer of 1970 on Mr. Jake Pollard Jr’s property in Appling, Georgia. Sites listed in report include 9CB12 and 9CB18.

In October of 1997 a Phase I archeological survey was undertaken for the proposed Yellow River Interceptor sewer line in the town of Milstead, Rockdale County, Georgia.

The project would consist of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) improvements along 10.7 miles of roadway in the City of Dunwoody.

Judge Ellis phoned this office back in the fall (1998) to ask about the origin of some rock piles he had seen on his property. He had read articles about the stone mounds in Gwinnett Co. I told him we would like to see his property after the leaf cover had fallen.
