The proposed project would replace the geometrically and structurally deficient bridge on Dicks-Waters Creek Road/FH-34-1 over Dicks-Waters Creek in the Chattahoochee National Forest.

The Cherokee County Government proposes to widen the existing Eagle Drive in Cherokee County, Georgia. Currently, Eagle Drive is a two-lane asphalt road connecting Bells Ferry Road and Towne Lake Parkway.

31' long x 13.0' wide bridge. Earth end abutments, steel stringers. Wood deck with runners in poor condition. 40' total existing R/W. Replace existing bridge with Triple 8' x 6' concrete bridge culvert at the present location. Existing road to be closed during construction.

Type and size of existing structure and row: 210’ X 24’ Concrete bridge estimating existing row 80’. 240’ X 40’ Bridge (estimate). Estimated required row 100’.

No wetland involvement, no historic materials, no displacements, no public water intakes, no archaeological sites. Bridge over Rocky creek on road C.R. 396.

Existing bridge is 22.5’ X 50’ with a concrete substructure, 3 span steel beams and a concrete deck, existing right of way 80 ft. New structure will be 44’ X 50’ single span with approaches beginning 700’ west of the bridge and ending 800 ft east of the bridge.

Existing 24 foot wide bridge; 100 feet existing R/W. Widen bridge to 44 feet to include the roadway approaches Widen east side only; Minimal R/W required from side of widening. No detour required.

567’ X 22’ steel and concrete over cypress creel and 243’ X 22’ steel and concrete over the Overflow. Existing right of way is 300’ at Cypress Creek and 200’ at the Overflow. A proposed 567’ X 40’ concrete bridge over Cypress creek existing alignment.

150’ X 24’ bridge structure with timber pilings, concrete caps, pre cast concrete deck and steel handrail. 100’ of existing right of way. Bridge of Ten mile creek is proposed to be replaced on existing alignment with a 150’X 40’ concrete bridge.

80 ft long and 16ft wide bailey truss. Barrow county rejected the proposal of relocating the roadway, therefore the district recommends the removal of the existing bridge and close the road to thru traffic.
