150’ x 38’ bridge; no wetland involvement, no archaeological sites.

Project begins 650’ west of Gum swamp and ends 650’ east of Gum swamp. Project begins 350’ west of Alligator and end 350’ east of Alligator. New structures and 38’ x 360’ and 38’ x 160’ respectively. No right of way will be required.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project F-167-1(8), Floyd County, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRF-036-1(8), Coffee County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP)

The subject project consists of the widening and reconstruction of U.S. 17 from north of State Route 204 / Abercorn Street Extension to south of Dean Forest Road, a distance of 3.4 miles. The existing road has a rural section with 24' of pavement and variable width shoulders.

The proposed project consists of replacement of the existing SR 37 bridge over Ochlockonee Creek (Structure ID 071-0018-0). The new bridge will include two 12-foot lanes and sidewalks for pedestrians.
