The survey of Early County. Georgia was conducted with two goals in mind. The primary one was to locate and evaluate all observable historic and prehistoric sites.

The following report summarizes the results of an archaeological survey of areas to be affected by the proposed modification of designated stream banks in Banks, Franklin, Hall, Jackson, Rabun and Union Counties, Georgia by the Soil Conservation Service (Fig. 1).

The following report details the methods and results of an intensive archaeological survey of a 215 acre ash pond expansion at the Plant Harllee Branch Generating Station in Putnam County, Georgia.

Six prehistoric and early historic sites were identified on the Buckeye Cellulose new pulp mill property near Oglethorpe, Georgia. The occupants of these sites were indigenous inhabitants of the region during a period beginning more than 3,000 years ago (1000 B.C.).

The Rock Mountain survey was begun in December, 1972, in response to a request for survey data submitted by the Georgia Historical Commission. The cost of the survey was borne by the Historical Commission. The survey employed Jan Fortune and was directed by P. H. Garrow.

SSI conducted an archaeological-historical survey of two river crossings in Floyd County, Georgia at the request of the Colonial Pipeline Company, Western Region, from February 28 through March 2. Four archaeological sites were recorded during the survey.

The following project was conducted on Land Lots 9, 10, 63 and 64 of original Cherokee (now Cobb) District 16th, Section 2; it is also located in the Gritter's Georgia Militia District 911.
