The survey area for the proposed Buck Creek substation and transmission line is generally on hillsides or swampy areas where aboriginal occupation would not be expected and no evidence of significant prehistoric activity was found.

On August 15, 1979, a cultural resource survey was conducted at three locations in Harris County, Georgia.

An archaeological assessment was conducted at the proposed site of the new Midway Post Office on November 17, 1979. The 0.61 acre site is situated in a cleared field at the junction of New Georgia Highway 82 and an unnamed paved street, 0.7 miles east of U.S.

The purpose of this project was to identify and assess the historical and archaeological resources present within the 78 acre Bedford-Pine Urban Redevelopment Area, and was conducted at the request of the Atlanta Housing Authority.

A proposed route for a nature trail at Crooked River State Park in Camden County, Georgia, was archaeologically surveyed in October 1978. For the entirety of the route no areas of archaeological significance were identified along a one meter wide corridor.

Through controlled archaeological testing within the proposed right-of-way of a new bridge project it has been determined that there will be an adverse effect on one of two prehistoric sites included in the Etowah Valley National Register District.

Oglethorpe Power Corporation (OPC) is planning a substation adjacent to an existing transmission line corridor in Douglas County near Winston. The transmission line crosses Mason Creek Road approximately 2 kilometers south of Interstate 20.
