In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project CSNHS-M003-00(788), Worth County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (

The proposed project would improve the intersection of SR 81 at Racetrack Road. The alignment of Racetrack Road would be shifted to the west to create a more desirable 84 degree intersection with SR 81, the current skew is 40 degrees.

The proposed project includes the design of fiber optic communications cable, closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, Intersection Video Detections System (IVDS), microwave radar detectors, changeable message signs (CMS), and traffic signal upgrades.

The proposed project is located in Thomaston, Georgia. The total project length is approximately 2.0 miles long. The existing roadway is an urban section with two lanes in each direction and a two-way left turn lane on the southern third of the project.

The proposed project would consist of the redesigning of the second floor interior of the Columbus Government Annex building located at 420 Tenth Street. The second floor of the existing building is being redesigned in order to accommodate a new Columbus Regional Traffic Control Center.

Greenhouse CONSULTANTS incorporated was retained by G. Ben Turnipseed Engineers on behalf of the city of Twin City, Georgia to undertake a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Sewerage System Improvements project area.

The proposed project would consist of the reconfiguration of the existing six-way intersection at Marietta Boulevard, Bolton Road, Adams Drive and Plant Road in Atlanta, Georgia.

Project Changes Since the Approved Environmental Document: Since the approval of the most recent Environmental Reevaluation dated October 3, 2007, the project has been revised to include design refinements.

The purpose of this addendum is to address changes to the APE of the proposed project.
