This project consists of very minor alterations to a set of traffic signal improvements that were archeologically surveyed in June of 2006.

This project is a reevaluation of the I-85/SR316 interchange. One northbound general purpose lane is proposed to be extended along 1-85 between Old Peachtree Rd and the SR 317 interchange. Currently, this lane drops off approximately 1.25 miles north of Old Peachtree Rd.

Original Project Description: The proposed improvements, which consist of widening the road from the existing two lanes to a four lane divided highway, begin at the I20/Wheeler Road interchange and continue north to the intersection at Washington Road (SR 104).

The proposed project consists of traffic signal upgrades at nine intersections along SR 1 and SR 193 in Walker County.

A cultural resource survey (consisting of both an architectural survey and a Phase I archaeological survey) was conducted prior to the construction of a proposed 360 acre wastewater treatment and reuse facility in central Barrow County, Georgia, south of the city of Winder.

In April 1999 TRC Garrow Associates, Inc. (TRC), completed a Phase I cultural resources survey consisting of both archaeological and architectural assessments of a proposed plant site, pond site, and a pipeline corridor.

In November 2005-February 2006, Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of the 1,281 -hectare New Hampstead Tract in Chatham County, Georgia, for International Paper Realty Corporation.

At the request of Jordan, Jones, & Goulding (JJG), archival research and an archeological reconnaissance was conducted by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., on a 519 acre tract on which a reservoir for Oconee County might be constructed.

This document summarizes the results of an intensive archeological survey of a 519 acre tract of land that is being considered for a proposed reservoir project for Oconee County.
