Report Abstracts

TRC conducted archaeological investigations to assist the Oconee River Greenway Authority with permitting associated with the second phase of the proposed Oconee Riverfront Park and Greenway in Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia.

In January and February 2009, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted an archaeological survey for the proposed improvements to Douthit Ferry Road in Bartow County.

On March 12 and 17, 2009, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed ATMS project and Streetscapes project on Old National Highway in Fulton County, Georgia.

In May and September, 2008, URS Corporation performed a Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed widening and reconstruction of SR 92 between SR 3/US 41 and Cowan Road in Cobb County, Georgia.

Between 6 and 10 April 2009, Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted a Phase I archaeological resources survey of proposed changes to the intersection of Truman Parkway and President Street in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia.

The Georgia Department of Transportation proposes to improve the intersection of LaVista and Oak Grove roads, approximately 5.6 km (3.5 miles) north of Decatur, Georgia.

The proposed project would consist of the widening and reconstruction of SR 53 in Pickens County. The project begins at the intersection of SR 515 and SR 53 and continues to the intersection of CR 243/Industrial Boulevard and Burnt Mountain Road.

The proposed project would consist of the removal of the outside lanes on 1-16, in both directions, to base repair and replace the lanes with concrete pavement beginning at the 1-16 and SR 96 intersection in Twiggs County and end at the 1-16 and SR 26 intersection in Laurens County.

The proposed project is the identification of surplus property owned by the Georgia Department of Transportation that will be placed on the market by the Department's Right-of-Way Office.

The proposed project would consist of the removal of the outside lanes on 1-16, in both directions, to base repair and replace the lanes with concrete pavement beginning at the 1-16 and SR 26 intersection in Laurens County and end at the 1-16 and SR 29 intersection in Treutlen County.
