The proposed project would widen and reconstruct US 441 from a point just north of the Mill Creek Bridge at SR 107, in Coffee County, to the south McRae Bypass, in Telfair County. Major changes include the proposed realignment of several county roads with US 441.

The proposed project would widen and reconstruct US 441 from CR 416, just north of Douglas, to SR 107, just south of the Ocmulgee River, in Coffee County.

The proposed project would construct a 12-foot westbound right turn lane on SR 206 Connector at the intersection of SR 31/US 441 north of Douglas.

The proposed project would widen CS 784/McNeal Drive in the City of Douglas. A right turn lane would be added on the north side of McNeal Drive to intersect US 441. Existing right-of-way is approximately 60 feet. Additional required right-of-way would vary from approximately 5 to 10 feet.

The purpose of this investigation was to locate and document the archaeological resources within the project's area of potential effect (APE) as agreed on by Foster Wheeler Environmental Corporation and Georgia's SHPO representatives.
