In September and October of 1976, an archaeological-historical survey was conducted by Anne F. Rogers, under the direction of Roy S. Dickens, Jr. and Timothy Crimmins, on a tract of land near Gainesville, Georgia.

The above-referenced project area was surveyed on January 12. No archaeological sites were identified along any of the proposed alternate routes.

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District [USACE-S] is proposing to create a bird sanctuary using dredge spoil from channel maintenance in Brunswick Harbor in Glynn County, Georgia. The proposed island will be approximately 1,400 feet long and 850 feet wide.
