As part of the site development program at the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) James D. Mason Intermodal Facility in Savannah, an overpass bridge spanning proposed rail improvements at the facility has been proposed.

At the request of Savannah Laboratories an Environmental Services, a preliminary archaeological survey was conducted of the Rincon, Georgia, 2010 facility planning area with specific concentration on the proposed plant site and the pipelines serving that facilities.

We have determined this action to be a "potential undertaking".

This report documents the process of the South System Expansion Project Phase III of the archaeological site 9UP99 in Upson County, Georgia by Goodwin & Associates, Inc. in 2008. 

A preliminary archaeological reconnaissance, carried out for the City of Atlanta under P.O 17657, was performed on the Southside Park area in December, 1975. The reconnaissance identified a number of scattered rifle pits dating to 1864.
