Report Abstracts

In August 2018, Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEi) conducted archaeological field investigations for the Georgia College & State University Trail Extension project in Baldwin County, Georgia.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, Project STP-2-t 12(2), Hall County, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places NRHP).

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, STP-061-1(42) Long County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places NRHP).

Georgia DOT Project # BHF-034-1(14) is an in-place bridge replacement project at SR 31 and the Withlacoochee River in Lowndes County, District 4. Because the project is in place, no new areas will be impacted.

In compliance with Section I 06 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project STP-0002-00(019), Walton County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (

Environmental Corporation of America (ECA) has completed an Archaeological Assessment for the federal undertaking at the subject site.

Georgia DOT Project # BRZLB-0163(1) is an in-place bridge replacement project at Co. Rd. 103 over Hannah Branch in Jefferson County, District 2. Because the project is in place, no new areas will be impacted.

Georgia DOT Project # BRF-058-1(5) is an in-place bridge replacement project at SR 2 at Blue Ridge and Weaver Creek in Fannin County, District 6. Because the project is in place, no new areas will be impacted.

Georgia DOT Project # BRS-0810(9) is an in-place bridge replacement project at Weeks Creek and SR 2 in Fannin County, District 6. Because the project is in place, no new areas will be impacted. Only those areas which have been disturbed by previous bridge construction will be affected.

Cherry Creek crossing State Route 125 near Valdosta, Georgia.  Replace existing 1401 x 241 concrete bridge (with timber piling) with triple 101 x 61 concrete bridge culvert.  Place approximately 3200 cu. yds.
