Report Abstracts

The proposed projects would consist of pedestrian improvements at the intersection of Watkins A venue and New Peachtree Road and at the intersection of Malone Drive and Peachtree Road (see attached location map).

Survey techniques included visual inspection, pedestrian survey, and subsurface testing where necessary. The two asterisked (*) projects encountered archaeological material; these require further testing or excavation. All other projects are clear from an archaeological standpoint.

Georgia DOT Project # BRO-0201(1) is an in-place bridge replacement project at Thompson Town Bridge Road at Long Drain Creek in Miller County, District 4. Because the project is in place, no new areas will be impacted.

The survey entailed examination of relevant survey reports, project plans, maps, and site files, and a pedestrian (walk­through) survey of the entire project, occasionally complemented by periodic placement of subsurface tests where needed.

Georgia DOT Project # BRF-034-3(16) is an in-place bridge replacement project at Sandy Run Creek and SR 247 in Houston County, District 3. Because the project is in place, no new areas will be impacted. Only those areas which have been disturbed by previous bridge construction will be affected.

Georgia DOT Project # BRMLB-2931(1) is an in-place bridge replacement project at Hammet Road County road 276 and Shoal Creek in Troup County, District 3. Because the project is in place, no new areas will be impacted.

The survey entailed examination of relevant survey reports, project plans, maps, and site files, and a pedestrian (walk­through) survey of the entire project, occasionally complemented by periodic placement of subsurface tests where needed.

In response to your letter on August 13, 1992 we are submitting an estimate in the amount of $15,104.70 covering 0.248 miles of Base and Surfacing on the above file project.

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) plans to replace a damaged culvert along State Route (SR) 24 in Bulloch County, Georgia.

The proposed project is an emergency repair that will take place along a 300 foot section of State Route (SR) 54 in Fayette County, Georgia (Figure 1). Recently, there has been a pipe failure under the roadway with a sink hole in the median.
