Report Abstracts

Bobby Jones was a golfer of international renown who hailed from Augusta, Georgia. U. S. Interstate Highway 520, which encircles Augusta, was named in his honor.

This report describes the results of limited secondary testing and survey of the Rabbit Run Site, 9CAM17O, on the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, Camden County, Georgia.

After the Tornado Damage Survey Report (Taylor, Benyshek and Bruce 1992) was prepared and submitted to the SHPO for review, several things happened which required this Addendum to it.

Between June 3 and 14, 2019, Brockington and Associates, Inc., completed a Phase I cultural resources survey of the Constantine Development Tract in Chatham County, Georgia.

In July and August 2019, Brockington and Associates, Inc. (Brockington), was contracted by American Consulting Professionals, Inc., to conduct a Phase I Cultural Resources Survey (CRS) of the approximately 4,800-foot project area located in Whitfield County, Georgia.

The subject project represents the proposed widening and reconstruction of S. R. 21 from the I-95 Interchange in Chatham County to the northern city limits of Rincon, Georgia in Effingham County. Total length of the proposed project is approximately 9.35 miles.

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRF-141(4), Hancock County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
