In accordance with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP), a potential bridge replacement has been identified along County Road (CR) 116/Sand Valley Road (hereinafter referred to as Sand Valley Road) that spans Duhart Creek.

The proposed project would replace the existing bridge structure (Georgia Department of Transportation [GDOT] Bridge 215-0009-0) on State Route (SR) 520/United States Route (US) 280 over the Chattahoochee River in Columbus (Figure 1).

The proposed project is located in the City of Emerson in Bartow County.

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is planning to improve the Interstate 20 (I-20) and Interstate 285 (I-285) West interchange in the City of Atlanta, Cobb, Fulton, and Douglas Counties, Georgia (GDOT PI No. 0013918).

The proposed project fixes a washout area adjacent to State Route (SR) 520 located about 6.4 kilometers (km) (4 miles [mi]) north of Richland in Stewart County, Georgia.

To improve safety and traffic flow, GDOT proposes to improve the intersection of SR 74 at SR 42 with a one-lane roundabout with 12-foot lanes in both directions along SR 74. SR 74 is classified as a Rural Minor Arterial, and SR 42 is a Rural Major Collector.
