Report Abstracts

In April 2002, SITE, Inc. conducted a Phase I survey of proposed replacement of the State Route 109 bridge over the CSX Railroad in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia. This project will be constructed on the existing alignment. This survey was conducted for the LPA Group, Inc.

In January and February of 2003, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc., conducted a Phase I archeological survey of proposed improvements to Lewis Road, in Powder Springs, Georgia.

Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted an intensive Phase I archaeological resources survey on 11 February 2003 for the proposed State Route (SR) 74 bridge replacement over the CSX Railroad in Coweta County, Georgia, under contract with Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc.

In November 2001 and April 2002, R.S. Webb & Associates (RSWA) conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey of the 14 acre (5.7 hectare [ha]) Augusta Canal Hydropower project environs in Richmond County, Georgia.

From 11 to 15 March 2002, Brockington and Associates, Inc., conducted intensive Phase I cultural resources survey of the 93 acres (37.6 ha) Area of Potential Effect (APE) for a new campground development at Hales Landing, Lake Seminole, Decatur County, Georgia.

In February, 2003, Southeastern Archeological Services conducted an archeological survey of proposed improvements to the intersection of Old Alabama Road and Old Alabama Connector, within the city limits of Roswell in Fulton County, Georgia.

On December 10, 2002, an archeological survey of 25 intersection improvement projects in Savannah, Georgia, was conducted by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. The intersections are primarily located along Anderson and Henry Streets in the west-central portion of the city (Figure 1).

Hussey, Gay, Bell & DeYoung Environmental, Inc. [HGD] is working with Chatham County, Georgia to design and construct a bulkhead and riverfront walkway along the Hutchinson Island Savannah River waterfront.

In April 2003 Southern Research, Historic Preservation Consultants, Inc. conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for the Housing Authority of Savannah, City of Savannah of proposed Hope VI development.

On 30 September 2002, Brockington and Associates, Inc. conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for a proposed bridge replacement in Pulaski County, Georgia (GDOT Project # BRST- 13 81[12]).
