On October 31 2002, New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed 1-75/Jodeco Road interchange improvements in Henry County, Georgia.

On November 13, 2002, Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS) archeologically surveyed eight highway intersections in Cherokee County, Georgia (Figure 1).

Road improvements are planned for a 2.5-mile stretch of Carpenter Road west of Tifton Road. In order to comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, a cultural resources survey was completed by Southwind Archaeological Enterprises in February, 2002.

R.S. Webb & Associates conducted an archeological resources survey of the proposed Grimes Bridge Road at Big Creek project area in May 1997, and updated survey data in January 2003.

On April 28, 2003, staff archeologists from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) conducted an archeological survey for the grading, drainage, base and surfacing on Old Milan Road, from CR 106 to CR 97 in Telfair County, Georgia (Figure 1).
